Business Visa Types
Visados y Corporaciones
We can access the following types of visas from countries with trade agreements with the United States. To start a business or make a substantial investment, the E-2 and E1 visas would be applicable. E-1 requires much more specific processes.
The B-1 visa (Tourism and Business) is ideal for attending conferences or conducting market research, strengthening the foundation for a future E-2 or E-1 visa.
Remember that this Visa only allows 90 days from most countries.
Trader visas (E-1) and investor visas (E-2) are non-immigrant visas for citizens of a country where the United States maintains a friendship, commerce, and navigation treaty. Electronic visas are for applicants who wish to go to the United States for one of two purposes: to conduct substantial trade between the United States and the applicant’s country. (E-1); or to develop and direct the operations of a business in which the investor has invested or is in the process. (E-2)
1- VISA E-2 Investors:
This visa allows the investor and their family (spouse and children under 21 years old) to enter and live in the United States to develop and manage a business.

2- VISA E-1 Traders:
The E1 visa does not require a financial investment in a U.S. business, a five-year business plan, or the formation of a company in the United States.
This Visa allows you to stay in the United States to establish substantial international trade, which means there is a trade volume.
This type of visa facilitates entry and stay in the United States for a sufficient period to establish the foundations of the business; the length of stay depends on each country, with the most extended period being 90 days.
